Support for Foundation and Higher GCSE maths
Tell me your year group, exam board and tier if you know them. You might be preparing for a first GCSE sitting, working towards a resit or trying to make sense of a topic that has felt difficult for a while.
- Number and proportion: fractions, percentages, ratio and using them in context.
- Algebra: equations, graphs and choosing a useful way to represent a problem.
- Geometry and measures: angles, area, volume, Pythagoras and trigonometry.
- Probability and statistics: interpreting information and explaining your reasoning.
- Exam questions: deciding how to start, showing clear working and checking an answer.
We can work from your school topics, a recent assessment or questions you have attempted. The starting point is what you understand now and what you want to improve.
How we get started
- A short, free introductory call. Discuss the student's needs, preferred lesson format and possible times before booking.
- A first paid lesson. Bring some recent working or a topic you find difficult. We will work through it together to identify useful next steps.
- Build understanding through practice. Explore why a method works, try it on a different question and use mistakes to decide what needs another look.
Parents and students are both welcome to make the enquiry. A first lesson is charged at the same hourly rate as subsequent lessons.
Online or at the student's home
I am based in Hendon and visit students in north London. Selected central London appointments are also possible by arrangement. Send your area and preferred times so we can check the journey and availability before booking.
Online lessons are available across the UK. We use a shared whiteboard; a laptop and a way to show your written work help us work through questions together.
