Who to contact

Mohamed Hersi, trading as Hersi Maths, is responsible for tutoring enquiries. I am based in Hendon, north London. Contact [email protected] about your information or this notice.

Messages and tutoring enquiries

There is no enquiry form or account system on this website. If you choose WhatsApp, SMS or email, your chosen service sends the message. I receive the contact details and information you include, such as the student’s year, exam board and the help they need. A parent or carer may enquire on a student’s behalf. Please include only what is useful for arranging tutoring.

I use this information to reply, discuss suitable lessons and arrange a call. This serves the legitimate interests of responding to your request and running the tutoring service. I do not add enquiries to a marketing list, sell them or use automated decisions.

I keep enquiry correspondence for as long as it is needed to respond to the enquiry and arrange tutoring. If you become a student, relevant information may also be needed for lessons and administration. You can contact me to ask about a particular message or request its deletion; some records may need to be kept to meet legal obligations.

Services used

Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. WhatsApp, your mobile provider and email providers handle messages you choose to send. My email address uses Gmail. Their services have their own privacy information: Cloudflare, WhatsApp and Google. These providers may process technical or message information outside the UK under their applicable arrangements.

Reading and watching

The website does not use analytics or advertising scripts, and it does not store lesson progress in cookies or browser storage. The current lesson section can appear in the page address and normal browser history.

Requests for pages and files can reveal technical information such as an IP address, browser details, requested file and time. Page fonts are requested from Google Fonts and video thumbnails from YouTube. Mathematical fonts and lesson animations are served with the website.

Selecting a video tile loads a YouTube player on this page. WhatsApp and email links open those services when selected; they do not send a message automatically. The services’ own policies apply when you use them.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access or correct your information. Depending on the circumstances, you may also ask for deletion or restricted use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or ask for a portable copy where that right applies. Contact me at the email address above.

If you are unhappy with how your information is handled, you can raise it with me or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
